We believe fresh, made from scratch food tastes better, and we’ve filled our menu with favorite family recipes and house made items using locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible. Our aim is to provide our guests with a relaxed dining experience and tasty food that keeps folks coming back.

Lunch service is now available! Lunch returned to our menu on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, and is served from 11:30am-3pm Tuesday-Friday. Our dinner menu is available from 3-9pm Tuesday-Saturday. Note that our lunch menu is different from our dinner menu and is not yet posted here on our website. You can find it on Facebook or Instagram at the moment.

ABOUT US
McDowell Local is a family-owned restaurant led by owner/operator Aaron Mathews. With over 30 years in the restaurant industry, Aaron has worn every hat possible, from dishwasher to waitstaff to owner of two restaurants. The entire Mathews family have all contributed in some fashion to the day to day operation of the business, and we wouldn’t have it any other way (probably a good thing we like each other, too). We understand and value the importance of small business life, and we appreciate your support as patrons and friends!

Purchases made with a credit card will be charged a small non-cash surcharge of 2.6% (pre-tax) which will be displayed on your receipt. An 18% gratuity will be added to parties of six or more.
